About the Blog

Well, here it is. The blog I've always wanted (for the last week, at least), "Ramblings of a Socialist Madman". Badly planned and ill advised, I don't think too much people will visit, and that this blog will not go far.

But, I'm here now, and I'm just going to write all that I can, hopefully enlightening you about myself and more importantly the conditions of Indonesia, my country.

As my short but all-telling profile says, I am a not-so-generic teen communist. Not-so-generic mainly because my ideals differ with the typical liberal commie teenager, and with the fact that right here in Jakarta, I'm probably the only commie within miles. I will, of course, conceal my name, not only for protection from flamers, but also for protection from my government.

Why write a blog?

It seemed like a good idea at first, but now it seems doomed to fail. I made 'Ramblings of a Socialist Madman' mainly for political discussion, especially on Indonesian politics, which with each day passing, becomes increasingly monotonic and uninteresting. Of course, I am open to other, more easy going topics. Like your typical teenage BOY, I like games, some sports and, of course, girls. I'll discuss all of this in due time, though my main idea was "tell me what you want, and I'll talk about it".

Why call it 'Ramblings of a Socialist Madman'?

Well, I first thought of something like that when my History teacher gave me a copy of several pages of Hitler's 'Mein Kampf' to read. After reading the several pages, I came to a conclusion that Hitler was a madman. His ideals were demented enough, but his organizing of them just made me puke. It was so unorganized; he literally jumped from one topic to another and back again. Sometime after that I thought of making my own book, but I've never been an organized person, as you can see from my writing. I'd see my book as very unorganized, very much like Mein Kampf. Then I thought, "If the appropriate name for Mein Kampf would be 'Ramblings of a Racist Madman', why wouldn't my book be 'Ramblings of a Socialist Madman'?" And so, the idea was born.

That's all for this small post. I hope that people actually read this, other than my small group of friends and myself. Keep waiting, and I may find something interesting to talk about.
